Privacy Policy

This policy describes how VectorQuil handles information when you use the website and the editor at vectorquil.com/app. The short version: your files are opened and edited in your browser; while the editor is in early testing we keep a copy of files you export to find and fix export problems; there are no user accounts; and we do not sell or share personal information.

Your files are processed in your browser

VectorQuil is a client-side application. When you open, edit, or export an SVG, PNG, JPG, or PDF, that work happens inside your browser using your device's own processing. Opening or editing a file does not upload it.

Copies of exported files (temporary)

VectorQuil is new, and the only reliable way to catch export bugs — a missing background, a shape that renders wrongly, a broken file — is to look at real exports. So while the editor is in early testing, when you export a file we keep a copy of the exported file on our hosting provider's storage (Cloudflare R2). With each copy we store:

• the exported file itself (SVG, PNG, JPG or PDF, up to 5 MB)
• its format, file size and pixel dimensions
• simple counts about the document, such as how many objects, paths and text layers it has
• your country, browser and operating system, and the site that referred you, if any
• a random identifier created for your browser tab, so several exports from one visit can be seen together

We do not store your name, email address or IP address with these copies, and they are not linked to an account. They are viewed only by the VectorQuil team, used only to find and fix problems in the editor, and never sold, shared or used to train models. This is temporary: when the testing period ends, recording stops and every stored copy is deleted. Files you only open or edit, without exporting, are not kept. If you would rather nothing you export is kept, please wait until this notice is removed before exporting sensitive work.

Local storage on your device

To make the editor usable, VectorQuil saves some things in your browser's local storage. This data lives on your device only and is not transmitted to us:

• Any file you hand off from the landing page to the editor, so it can open there
• Fonts you upload, so text you have styled still renders after a refresh
• Small interface preferences, such as whether you have seen the welcome screen

You can remove all of it at any time by clearing site data for vectorquil.com in your browser settings.

Accounts

There are no accounts. You do not need to register, provide an email address, or give a payment method to use the editor. If paid plans are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated before any account or payment data is collected.

Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visited a page and which country they came from. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites, which is why this website shows no cookie consent banner. We do not use advertising trackers.

Hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data such as IP address and user agent in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's own privacy documentation for details on that processing.

Fonts and assets

Display fonts on this website are self-hosted, so loading a page does not tell a third-party font service that you visited. The editor may fetch font files from public font services when you choose a font that is not already installed on your device.

Children

VectorQuil is a general-purpose design tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not offer accounts and do not knowingly hold data identifying anyone.

Your rights

We do not maintain accounts, and the temporary copies of exported files are not linked to your name or email. If you want copies of files you exported removed before the testing period ends, email us with roughly when you exported them and what they contained and we will delete them. Everything else created by your use of the editor stays under your control in your own browser.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how information is handled, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be noted on the website.
